image (1)Learn how to apply makeup from head to toe, rejuvenate skin and make your clients look great as an Esthetician.

An esthetician specializes in the study of skin care and makeup.  Some of the skills and techniques you will learn include:

  • Facial treatments
  • Body wraps (with hot linens, plastic sheets, and blankets. Heat penetrates the skin resulting in relaxation and skin revitalization.)
  • Salt glows (an exfoliating treatment to remove dead skin and stimulate circulation by rubbing coarse salt and aromatic oils on the skin)
  • Waxing as a form of hair removal
  • Cosmetic make-up services.

Some estheticians work with dermatologists to offer more services, including many types of chemical peels and the use of microderm abrasion and high frequency galvanic current multifunction machines.

Each week we work on a new chapter in the textbook and workbook.  The Pivot Point textbooks are geared toward the learner, easy to understand and will help you acquire the skills you need.  The schedule includes State Board preparation, theory, review for the tests, and taking tests.  With our flexible hours, you can work toward your goal either full or part time and before you know it, you’ll be working as a professional Esthetician.

Our Textbooks, Workbook and Exam Review Book Title is Salon Fundamentals – Esthetics.  They are Published by Pivot Point International, Inc. and Copyrighted 2004.  ISBN 978-0-9742723-1-3. The cost is $250 (not including tax) for the set.
